M Series Introduction


Now in its 4th generation, the groundbreaking M Series Dipolar design has continued to evolve, based on our latest engineering developments and experience with real room applications. Since the listening room itself has such a large effect on the sound you hear, it makes sense to continue to research the best ways to optimize performance in a variety of domestic room sizes and shapes. It has become increasingly obvious over time that the speaker design needs to be scaled to the room’s volume to obtain the best music playback results. The goal is to create a disappearing act, leaving only the sonic picture of the performance before you.


Spatial is well known for its heavy emphasis on research and development. The better our depth of understanding of the loudspeaker’s behavior in the room, the better we can develop methods to minimize the interaction effects between the speaker and room. Dipolar radiation pattern and controlling the radiation pattern in the upper octaves helps to provide optimized playback quality via reduced room interference. With each successive generation, we have improved and refined our approach to the highly evolved level now seen in the M Series.


The 3 M Series models are designed to optimally integrate into small (M6), medium (M4) and large (M3) rooms sizes. This approach dramatically improves real-world results across a wide range of environments to ensure a 3 dimensional, realistic portrayal of the music performance.  All M Series models use the same quality of parts and build quality, including the famous M100 Uniwave, wideband mid/treble driver, through the premium crossover components and solid machined aluminum base. The sound performance is therefore scaleable to your listening room.
